This is a matching Yair Emanuel tallit, bag and kippa. All three items are white and include a variation of the blue Star of David embroidery. The Hebrew words "Tallit" are also embroidered in the middle of the design on the tallit bag. The tallit also has three thick dark blue decorative lines, and the Hebrew blessing of the tallit, framed by the blue geometrical pattern.
The traditional Tallit is typically worn with the top covering the head and then rest of the garment draped over the body, covering the shoulders and back. Depending on the community, the Tallit may be worn from the age of 7, Bar Mitzvah or after marriage. In some communities, the Tallit is also used in a wedding ceremony, being worn by the groom or used as the canopy used in the Chuppah service.
The Star of David is a symbol of Judaism and a wonderful way to express one's Jewish pride and heritage. This tallit set will make for a wonderful gift for the High Holidays!
